Slowly turning into summer fishing with fish up as shallow as 75 feet. Size is averaging about 9lbs to 12 lbs and some much bigger fish now in the region. Water temps are between 50 and 52 and once they get to 52 then things really heat up with the bigger fish moving into the shallows.
Gibbs SkinnyG Trailhead, Wee-Gee and Squirts all producing well. Not many herring around so any Sandlance (needlefish) look alike will work. Leeder lengths now getting closer to 5 feet than 4 on spoons to the flasher.
Halibut Season is open and fishing when the tides are right has been very good for smaller fish with 1 per day and a max size of only 102cm you will need to downsize baits to entice the smaller fish but this does mean more sharks!.
August only has 5 days left July still has 1/2 full and June has 11 days left for full days, 1/2 days or evenings can be worked out as well with some advance notice.
