High winds or severe weather may not allow us to safely leave the dock. Winds over 30k per hour are uncomfortable and anything over that will be considered too high to go out on a charter. In cases like this, a full refund of deposit and or a secondary date with credit for the same service on available time slots to suit the customer based on availability.
Customers will need to have and supply their own a Tidal Water fishing license with Salmon conservation stamp can be purchased on-line by clicking here to register and purchase license and additional salmon tag. Be sure to print your copy and have it with you. A printed license for each fisherman will need to be shown on board or a replacement will need to be purchased before we leave the dock. We fish in Area 19 and 20 only please ignore the warning about not being able to halibut fish in area 121 and how it requires you to purchase a license from a local rep. We do NOT fish in Area 121.
Your license allows you to fish for and keep up to 6 Halibut per year (1 per person per day) and a variety of Rockfish and Salmon. each having different bag limits that need to be recorded in most cases on the license itself. Because we have to record this on your license we need to have a printed copy to record your catch on when you catch it. The DFO says Your electronic phone copy will not be sufficient.
Sorry it is the law.
Tips are a measure of your level of satisfaction and the performance by your Guide and first mates. A standard tip would be in the 10% range for an average day. If you have a day that is spectacular with trophy fish and a once in a lifetime experience, then a larger tip that represents the level experience is more common.
No tip at all would let your guide know that you were very unhappy with the performance, treatment and production your guide provided you for your trip.
